Terms of Use

Last updated July 24, 2026

The short version

Naru is a focus timer for iPhone. Use it as much as you like. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, your data stays on your device, and we do our best to keep the app working well.

Using Naru

In these terms, “Naru,” “we,” and “us” mean the Naru app and the independent maker who publishes and operates it. “You” means the person using the app.

By downloading or using Naru you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

Naru is licensed to you, not sold. You may use it on the Apple devices you own or control, for personal or business use. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or try to extract the source of the app, and don't use it in any way that breaks the law.

Your download from the App Store is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies alongside these terms.

Naru Pro subscriptions

Some features are part of Naru Pro, an auto-renewable subscription offered monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple account settings — deleting the app on its own does not cancel it.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may differ by region. We may change what Naru Pro includes or what it costs; any change applies to future billing periods, never to one you've already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.

Your content

Your tasks, sessions, and focus history are yours. They're stored on your device — see our Privacy Policy for what leaves it and why. Naru has no account system and no cloud backup, so deleting the app deletes your history. Please keep that in mind before removing it.

Availability

We work to keep Naru reliable, but it's provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and parts of the app that depend on Apple's services or an internet connection may be unavailable at times. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including lost focus records.

Our work

Naru and all of its original content, features, and functionality remain ours, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Naru at any time by deleting it. We may end your right to use the app if you seriously breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use Naru means you accept the update.
